Minecraft is half crafting (at least the title says so) and for the most part, its crafting system is pretty good. Most recipes make sense, and are fair and simple.
Some, however, are not quite that. In addition, I think some new recipes would be nice, for consistency.

As a disclaimer, I don't make every change I think the game should have in this data pack. That is because websites like Vanilla Tweaks and data packs like Cuttable Wood exist, and I think this is a good addition to those types of packs. So, my pack is built with those in mind, while still trying to keep things fair.

Changed Recipes
Banners are crafted using just 2 wool, instead of 6

Signs are crafted with just 1 plank and 1 stick, and give 1

Hanging signs are crafted with just 1 stripped log/stem and 1 chain, and give 1

Speaking of Chains, that recipe has been changed so that it takes a bit more iron, but gives 3 instead of 1 (making the overall cost 7 nuggets/chain)

Hoppers no longer require a Chest

Item Frames and Paintings require only 4 sticks instead of 8. The same treatment was given to the Lodestone with Chiseled Stone Bricks, and the Recovery Compass with Echo Shards.

Glass Bottles give 4 instead of 3, and same with Carpets. Crafting Trapdoors now give 4 instead of just 2, and crafting Sticks gives 8 instead of 4.

The Stonecutter can use other types of stone interchangeably, like Bedrock Edition

New Recipes
Chainmail armor can be crafted, and with the new chain recipe, they are efficient if you are short on iron (A full set needs ~75% of the iron that Iron Armor needs, but protects 80% as much).

The Bundle can be crafted with Leather

An Anvil can be repaired 1 stage by surrounding it with Iron Ingots

Bells can be crafted

Stained Glass and Glass Panes, and Dyed Terracotta can be re-dyed, at the cost of 1 block and 1 dye.

This pack only contains recipes, so there's nothing running in the background. Perfect for any survival world or server!

If there are any recipes you think I missed and should include, comment below! Thanks for checking it out!
