Hi everyone!

Welcome to the next part of my RPG datapacks... This one shows Mob/Entity health and their damage taken.
This is just the start of some RPG style datapacks I'm planning on adding, and might even have 1 major 1 which will have them all. This is multiplayer friendly, so feel free to play with others... Here is a list of all my other current RPG projects:

Made the datapack work for upto the latest 1.19.3 Minecraft release.

Also, made it to where you can just place it into the datapacks folder, no need to unzip!
Lastly, added a Google Drive version of the download!

Great datapack ! There are a few improvements I can think of :
- Instead of using @e[type=!player,type=!armor_stand], you could use an entity tag. For now you are getting life of every entity, even non alive things like boats, or xp orbs.
- To show how much damage has been done, you can use an item with a pickup delay of 32767 (cannot be picked up) and an age of 5980 so after 20 ticks it gets automatically deleted.
- Your functions hiticons and far contain exactly the same commands so you could get rid of one of them.
- If you want the damage icon to pop only when entity is hurt by player, you could use an advancement to detect when player hurt an entity and run the whole process as all hurt entity. With this, commands will run only when they are needed.
- Maybe you should add a way of configuring if the entity should be renamed as its health.

Good advice...
1. How do I make an entity tag? Sorry still kinda new to Tags...
2. Not sure what you mean here...
3. They are both the same, however, 1 is for entities near the player, and the other is for when they are far away.
4. I like knowing whenever an entity takes damage, so like even during an area effect cloud.
5. I was thinking about adding that option, which makes sense for custom named entities...

1. Entity tags are basically the same thing as function tags : it contains a list of entity. They are located in data/<namespace>/tags/entities/<tag name>.json
2. Ok so instead of using an armor stand to show the player how much damage has been done, you can use an item that will be automatically removed by the game after 20 ticks. This way you don't need to keep track of your damage indicators.
3. Yes I get that the context they are called from is different. Maybe it is more clear what they do if you keep them like that...

5. I think it would be great and not too hard to do (just add one condition before renaming entity)

Just check that, it not sure if intended but it has issue with using name tag on mobs. Names are invisible and health stays even after removing datapack until name tag is used on the mob.

Unfortunately, with it being lite, that's how it works. It replaces their name with their current health. Their is a more complex system to keep the custom mob name and their health, but it's a much grander file to download and can get kinda laggy, depending on how many mobs there are... hence this is a lite version.
