SHOVEL KNIGHT'S ARMOR - MINECRAFT DATAPACK
By Chimerabot
Thanks for checking out this datapack! Firstly, view that video above for some of the item specifications.
If you really want to download it, click the spoiler below for the download process.
I'll go over both of the special custom items granted by this datapack, and the abilities they grant, but please note that this set is purely for fun. Neither of the items can be crafted, and both are unbreakable.
The Shovel Blade: Based off of Shovel Knight's trademark weapon, the unholy offspring of a sword and a shovel. The Minecraft incarnation grants you a five-second jump and speed boost upon hitting an enemy, tilling grass (turning it into a Path), or breaking any block.
The Stalwart Helm: Based off of the Blue Burrower's famous armor. Equipping this helmet's Minecraft version gives you Strength III and Resistance II to compensate for lack of enchantment (it just looked bad). The other articles of armor aren't that special, apart from being "dyed" with 1.16's new functionality allowing you to dye leather armor any color.
I do suppose this project didn't take that long, and I (probably) won't add any content. But, if there is a glitch, it would be greatly appreciated if you'd tell me.

Download Process
- Download "shovel-knight.zip" from this page.
- Open Minecraft, and select the world you want to use the datapack in. Before you start up the world, click the "Edit" button, and then click the button in the editing menu titled "Open World Folder".
- Unzip the .zip file you downloaded before, and put the folder inside it in the "datapacks" folder for your world.
- Enter your world, type /reload in chat, and the datapack should start working.
- Make sure the resource pack is loaded as well, in Minecraft's resource packs folder. You can open it through the options menu on the home screen.

Videos, Tutorials, Etc. That I've Used
- Timber Forge's amazing tutorial on custom items: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4 .(I didn't use the last one, but check it out anyway).
- SteroidUnicorn's tutorial on making custom helmet models and making them work with a datapack.
- My Majora's Mask datapack, which used some framework from Firebug's Au Armor Datapack.
- And, of course, Bertiecrafter's excellent tutorial series on this site about the ins and outs of function datapacks.
I do suppose this project didn't take that long, and I (probably) won't add any content. But, if there is a glitch, it would be greatly appreciated if you'd tell me.
