Smelt raw blocks! This data pack, once added to the world, allows players to smelt blocks of raw copper, iron, and gold instead of having to un-craft them into their raw components. It takes exactly as much fuel and time as smelting the same amount of the raw component and gives exactly the same amount of experience (so, for example, it takes 1800 time to smelt nine raw copper in a furnace, which yields 6.3 experience; likewise, it takes 1800 time to smelt one block of raw copper, which also yields 6.3 experience). The process can be completed in a furnace OR a blast furnace. Thus, the data pack doesn't provide any real advantage to the player, but it does let the player put more copper/iron/gold in the furnace at once, which can decrease the need for constantly managing smelting or for loading with hoppers (which can be laggy). However, it's important to note that since coal only smelts eight items, a single coal or any worse fuel will not smelt any raw blocks.

Since it takes the same amount of fuel and time to smelt the same amount of material, players get the impression that the furnace or blast furnace is smelting very very slowly and consuming a lot of fuel. It takes a really noticeably long amount of time to smelt a single block.

Anyway, I made this pack for a friend to avoid having to place a lot of hoppers on her server. I hope you enjoy! Feel free to use this pack for other projects if you want. Also, if you really want to modify it (by, say, making the smelting go faster or give even more experience, honestly, feel free as I'm not exactly possessed with the urge to make another version of this pack.
