Been working on on and off for about a month now, This Zombie Apocolypse data pack was made to turn minecraft into the same world as The Walking Dead. Most hostile creatures in the overworld are replaced with zombies (They drop loot for zombies, spiders, skeletons and creepers to make up for it), as well as their spawn rates being more and more.

It starts out easy, and will get harder as time progresses, sleeping is the easy way out, but sleep too often and you'll find that a horde in the daytime can be even more menacing.

Based on the number of zombies in a group, the zombies will be faster, stronger, and break more and stronger blocks.
This means that living in a house alone will not be enough.

When the zombies die, they will spawn a dead body (nether wart block) that will stick around for a bit. This allows massive hordes to get to you when you've built a pillar upwards, by walking on top of each others dead bodies.

As you go on, the spawn rates will increase, making finding fortifying your living area a very crucial thing early game.


I'm planning to keep adding on to the game and introduce achievements such as protecting a village, Surviving a night, surviving a day horde etc..

In order for it to be fun, just, don't only build a sky base.
