You Have to do it with a Smithing Table.




Tools:


Wood To Stone.

Stone To Iron.

Iron To Gold.

Gold To Diamond.

Armor: (LEATHER & CHAIN NOW INCLUDED!!!)




Leather To Chain.



Chain To Iron.

Could I suggest a couple things?
  • Have an option that allows you to still be able to craft the item normally (this allows for an auto crafter to still to work.) AutoCraft
  • Do horse armors as well, this would be amazing considering diamond is harder to find
  • Also include chainmail armor by using chains
    -Leather (base)
    -Chain [​able to use iron chains to do such]
    -Iron
    -Gold
    -Diamond
    -Netherite
  • Also include gold after iron in the progression, makes it a little harder and worth while to progress
    -Wood (base)
    -Stone
    -Iron
    -Gold
    -Diamond
    -Netherite

      I'm working on it right now and I couldn't make it so an auto crafter would still work.



      But I Still Added Chains And Gold.



      I Added The Horse Armor In the order you wanted.



      I made it so you would have to use your iron pick to get diamonds before upgrading to gold to upgrade to diamonds.

      That's just for the armor, in progression sense. Haha, I see your point clearly however chainmail is actually weaker than iron. So you will have to progress to get full iron armor, this also allows a player to get chainmail as it is harder to find and get in vanilla game. And you can always mine iron with a stone pick axe.
