Here is a Block Breaker Datapack that can break every block accept Bedrock, it breaks the first block in front of it.

How are you powering it? Only a continuous power output will cause it to repeatedly break blocks in front of it, so you need to create a redstone clock like in the video or use a redstone block. If you use a switch it will only break every time the switch is turned on and off.
