Changelog

About:

This datapack adds processing to unloaded chunks upon re-loading, allowing for game time to affect various things regardless of whether or not they are loaded. Currently, this only affects breedable animals. For example, with this datapack installed, baby animals will grow up after 20 minutes, even if they aren't loaded in.

Not all of the included entities have been thoroughly tested, so some may not work properly, but the main breedable animals (cows, pigs, sheep, etc.) should work as intended. In the coming updates to the datapack I will work on refining and improving the current systems, and I also intend to add systems for processing various blocks, such as crops and copper. If you have any issues with the datapack, please let me know so I can fix it.

To set up, simply install the datapack and configure as needed through the in-game setup guide.

Installation

New World:

  1. Select Data Packs in the world creation menu
  2. Drag and drop the download into the Minecraft window, then select Yes to add the pack
  3. Click the arrow on the pack icon to load the pack, and then select Done
  4. Load and play your world
Existing World:
  1. Navigate to your world folder. You can open it from the worlds menu by selecting your world, Edit, and then Open World Folder
  2. Go into the datapacks folder, and move the download there
  3. Load your world
  4. type /reload
Note that if you are installing the datapack into a pre-existing world, you will need to temporarily enable cheats in order to reload the datapack. Cheats do not need to be enabled after reloading, and are not necessary for new worlds.

Commands:

/trigger config - a config menu where you can disable/enable processing of individual entities

/trigger <entity name> - toggles processing of the entity

Eu não entendi como funciona muito bem, todos os mobs vão aumentar de tamanho depois de 20 minutos ? e alem disso o mapa inteiro é uma chunk ? o que tem lá ?

I don;t understand how it works very well, all mobs will increase in size after 20 minutes? and besides the whole map is a chunk ? what's there?

The cover image is just a graphic. All worlds function normally, it just allows some things to happen even when chunks are unloaded. In vanilla Minecraft, it takes 20 minutes for baby animals to grow up and become adults, but it requires that the chunk is loaded for the time to pass. This datapack makes it so that even if it's unloaded, the time will still pass.

For example, if you have a cow farm with a bunch of babies, and then you travel super far away, this datapack makes it so that if you're gone long enough, the babies will be grown up when you get back. In vanilla, you would have to be near the cows for them to grow up.
