With this pack, zombies that spawn under y = 50 have a higher chance of spawning with a pickaxe in hand.


This pickaxe has a random chance to be a wooden pickaxe, stone pickaxe, or iron pickaxe.

Could the zombies really pick or mine ?, I mean, for example if there was a stone wall between them and the player could break the stone blocks with the spikes

No unfortunately, as far as I'm aware that would require a mod and be impossible with datapacks

Are sure?, Im almost sure some time time ago I saw a datapack which made a scarecrow (probably base on zombies) sow using a hoe, but I thought are impossible things like add animations or provide more IA to the zombies

Actually it is possible and not to hard, by checking if the zombie has a custom tag (or if they are just holding an iron pick) that you put on them when summoning them and if they do you check if there is a player within 40 blocks(zombie follow range) and if there is a block which is in front of the zombie you detect it and use the fill command to break them.
