Hi, I'm new to planet minecraft, (but not to minecraft! ^^) and i would like to get into modding after trying out like 783 mods. (okay, whatever the real amount is: 321 ;D)

However, I dont have a CLUE where to start. i have a basic idea, but i hear info for setting up the workspace so many different ways, I'm REALLY confused!
Can anyone here help a poor modding n0oB figure out what the heck he's supposed to do? (i would be ever so grateful lol) i probaby dont have the best computer for it though. i hope i can make do XD (cheesy little windows 8.1 $300 O_o 4 year old slow as crap useless machine, (you know it's pointless when you cant use smooth lighting or you get 4 fps O_O.) and yes, im getting a new one soon )

so, any pointers would be great!
