Hello everybody!!
So i was playing around with some ideas in my head and then i came up with a great map idea!!!
Basicly you are going to build up your portal with command blocks before anyone else does it XD
the first to build up their portal wins!!
you can craft, mine, find chests with loot and pets
you got 30 mins to finish your portal and there are 6 teams with 2 players in each.

Guys, unfortunately I have to pull out of PORTALS. This also means that I will no longer be able to host the map on my server.I may come back to building later in the maps progress, however for a period of atleast 2 week I will be out of this project. I will send Cthulhucompany the map via skype. Like is said, this move is regretable. Goodbuy guys,

Okay, it's Saturday arvo for me. I'll definitely have the server up by Sunday arvo, as I am going to be away. Are we going to use a flat map and then make the terrain off that, or use a normal map?

I'll have the server up within a day. Anyone within the project will get added to either the 'Builder' or 'Redstone' group, which is respective to the scores they gave in their application. Once an area of the map is completed, I will world guard it to prevent people from making changes. The server will be non white listed, with anyone not in the project automatically getting put in the group 'Spectator', which cannot break or place blocks, and will also be able to use /fly. Once the map has got a fair amount done, I will whitelist the server so it remains private until its release. Your thoughts?

Ok, here is my understanding of the map so correct me if I'm wrong. The teams have half an hour to mine, build or do whatever they need to to find the materials needed for a command block. They then enter the 'tp @p (coordinates) ' and use a button or lever to get to their home.
If that's correct, here's just one problem: I don't believe command blocks are craftable.
There would be other ways around this, though.

the command blocks arent craftable but you can find them deep underground!!

Yeah, I'll put a clean map on and add a whitelist. What I was thinking was to have the server on 1.3, allowing us to make the actual terrain with bukkit plugins such as worldedit. Then, once the terrain is made, we switch to 12w41a to place the command blocks and such. Your thoughts?
