Command Block Teleporting

Hello! I'm trying to make a command block that only teleports me to a area. Yes i can do tp n00bkilla192 (cords) but i want it to only teleport me if im within 3 blocks of it. I tryed to do tp n00bkill192[r=3] (cords) it doesn't work though. If anyone knows why or what to do would be nice! Thanks!

My friend did put redstone on a side of a command block and then pushed a button then PK TELEPORT we are in our secret base....OH and you have to stand ON the redstone.

You can do /tp @a[name=n00bkill192,r=3] (cords)

im in singleplayer with cheats on i dont need to activate command blocks
