Need help with redstone

I've set up noteblocks and redstone so they play a certain tune. I want to set it up so it loops 5 times, and then stops. I can't figure out how to do this without either building the redstone noteblock thing 4 more times, or using a ton of repeaters. Both of these would take up too much space. Is there a way to use redstone and make it loop 5 times without having to do either of those?

Use an array. On the fifth time, have it swap to a transparent block.

Maybe you could use a hopper clock that counts down the length of the tune, and when it needs to be repeated the clock activates another clock, and so on..?
I'm not the best at redstone but that is what I would try and do
