From my experience, if you are using a computer, Skindex has the best results. I always use this clear base to start my skins fresh from nothing and add away! I like it, and it is a 3D skin maker too! Also, I suggest using the chrome browser if you are going to use it, and refresh the page every time it gets laggy. But, in case you might loose the file when you reload, download it first. It was and always helps me the most because it is so simple! :)

PS ~ You cannot turn to the sides on a mobile or apple so if you make skins from a phone or iPad, using Skinseed would be the best. It takes a little while to get used to it, but when I was on vacation I made my skins from Skinseed.

I only use the editor on Skindex, it can be a little glitchy but I hate other one I've tried!!

MCSkin3D and PMCSkin3D are both great choices. Whatever you do though, stay away from needcoolshoes.com, they don't even have support for the Alex model.

I use Miners Need Cool Shoes. Yeah, Its a free website and it has many options to choose from.

IMO it is the best one to use and has the best user-interface. It is 3D.

I myself use MCSkin3D which you can only use on a computer I believe, you have to download and install it though. Skindex is a good web based editor, I think you can use it on mobile.
