Team Top Notch was founded to create top-notch quality Minecraft skins for free for the Minecraft community. With the increasing popularity of Minecraft Marketplace, we've seen a lot of great skin artists shift their efforts towards creating content which is exclusive for a paying audience. At team Top Notch, we want to do things differently.
Our team will be working on group projects to release skin packs following a certain theme or scheme. Aside from our members who are very skilled at making skins already, we guide apprentices in the process of becoming just as good! So we're not just a team that creates content, but also a dedicated learning community.

You know, I really don't know much about skins in general, and hope to one day be able to make whatever type of skin I want. I am trying to make myself a naval officer or a spacex engineer... I know almost nothing about making skins, but I do know there is a specific layout for the skin (I have fiddled with modding and know blender can be helpful)
If you wish for me to join, I have almost every day but sunday and late nights free (EST)
A pace for a skin, depending on quality depends on time constraints. One a day, is doable, however 2-3 a week for detail never hurts.
I work with me a few fellow youtubers, on my realms. so my time is split between there and my own custom creations.
I have been browsing around PMC for projects and stuff to fill my time with, I want to dedicate time to many projects to progress my knowledge in many aspects.
I have no skins ever hand made.

I appreciate your interest. :) Judging from the points you mention I agree it probably wouldn't be the right time for you to join this project. But luckily, PMC has a lot more fun activities and groups to join, to enjoy skin making in different ways! ^_^

Hey DinowCookie, I would recommend you post things intended to be used for Bedrock Edition as well to promote free, quality content on the Bedrock platform. The more you ignore the bedrock community, the more they lose and the more the "minecraft store" wins. Help them all!
Free skins that are available for Java, can also be used in the Windows 10 bedrock edition of Minecraft. I however cannot simply add free skins to the Minecraft marketplace/bedrock edition.. There are rules and contracts which prevent us from doing that.
However much I wish I could share content for free with the rest of the Bedrock community, I simply cannot do that at this point in time.

It's not that skins need to be submitted to the marketplace. They should be advertised for use on win10 and PE as well though. People spend waaay too much money on poor quality skins from packs when they can just look them up!
Does PE allow for free skins to be uploaded to the game? I never knew!
And I do agree with you, these skins are available for any version of Minecraft which you can upload a free skin to. :)

- If necessary, and given enough advanced warning, I could probably make up to 5 skins within a day. My 'leisurely' pace is probably something closer to 1 a week, but sometimes I make 1 each day for a few days in a row.
- I am enrolled in online education and I do work around the house, as long as I am given a somewhat flexible schedule to work with I should be able to adjust accordingly to fit in time to make skins each week, if not every day.

I'm interested ... You have some of my work in your collections...I work sometimes for the minecraft market and i find your project great! I think i can make1 skin in the week( if i'm busy for the Market ,one in 2 weeks)...I'm open for learning new things...Art is my hobby and some other things; drawing, Minecraft build and play, lol, music...

Hi, i'm allready in the pmc skinning association, i have two workplaces and work from monday to friday during the day. I'm quite social so i have two clubs and a sports team, i do read and exercise from time to time. i would like to learn more and i'm planning on making 1 skin per week or month depending on how much free time i have. I'm also a server admin for a minecraft server. my rat girl skin for a contest , my pumpkin knight skin for halloween

I hope my examples are diverse enough and give you a good picture of how I go through different shading styles and techniques.

Is this a paying job or something, or just something we do in our free time?
Good question, the primary goal is to learn and have fun in our free time. As mentioned I will be looking into ways to accept donations and financial support from the community, but for now that's only an idea, and if it's going to happen, it will probably not be much.
I'm looking to produce great-quality free content, and I can't really pay members if I don't sell things, unless people willingly donate.

Oh I wasn’t going for apprentice, I was going for member... :D But if that means the same thing, I will wait... Atleast it gives me time to make some skins! I might realeased one later :)
