Greetings, everyone! After over two years of planning, preparation, and design, XternityPixelmon is ready to announce our Pixelmon Adventure project! Set in a new region spanning almost tens of thousands of blocks, players will travel throughout multiple cities and hundreds of landmarks with their Pokémon to complete quests, defeat trainers, and learn powerful skills to help them along the way. Unlike most 'Adventure' servers, XternityPixelmon will bring a true storyline to the players coupled with dynamic quests and days worth of exploration across the entire map. Together, our team seeks to set a new standard for server creators everywhere and forge a new path to show what an Adventure truly should be.
Though two years of effort has already gone into planning this project, there's still a lot more to be done and we're in need of some people to help out. Our team includes people with over four years of server experience, members of the PixelmonMod team, a custom Sponge developer, and some of the most creative minds in the industry. Our plan is to finish all of the planning for the server over the next few months to release this summer, and that's where we need your help to bring new ideas to the table and help us achieve this goal!
Message from the Owner
Hi there, my name's Simon and I am the Owner of XternityPixelmon and the project manager for the team. It's my responsibility to make sure that everything necessary to complete this project gets completed on schedule and meets the high level of quality we've set. Clearly, I can't do this on my own, so that's why I've been working on building a team of skilled people to help finish the project and make it even better than before. With the help of some experienced individuals, I believe we can accomplish this goal and create a server that sets a new expectation for servers in the future. Currently, we are looking for people to join one of six different teams - Design, Lore, Build, Leadership, Development, and Resource. Below, you'll find an explanation of what each team does, some basic requirements and expectations, and the application for the team. All team members are required to have a Discord account, and a mic is highly recommended.
If you would like to apply for multiple teams, submit an application for the team you are most interested in and make a note of any other teams you would like to join in the 'Anything Else?' section. Design
The Design Team is really the backbone of the server and is in charge of developing the gameplay for the adventure. It is up to the Design team to combine features of Pixelmon, Minecraft, and Adventure into the game mechanics used to run the server effectively. Furthermore, this team is responsible for taking ideas from the Lore team and figuring out how to implement them.
Members of the Design Team are expected to have past server experience and be well versed with plugins and capable of learning how to use our custom plugins as well. In addition, it is expected that members are creative, have strong problem-solving skills, and have experience with servers to construct effective game mechanics for the server.

Lore
The Lore Team controls the spirit of the project itself - the Pixelmon Adventure. Members of the team are responsible for creating the main story arc, quest lines, sidequests, and ideas for landmarks (points of interest) throughout the world as well as tying them into the story. The Lore Team needs to work closely with the Design Team and the Build Team to ensure that ideas are implemented in the best way possible and everything fits into the region smoothly.
Members of the Lore Team are to be creative and out of the box thinkers capable of expanding the realm of possibility. Having past writing experience is a huge benefit, as members need to be capable of creating a 'universe' that has depth behind it and an effective story.

Leadership
The Leadership Team is the group of people in charge of managing the project and coordinating between teams to make sure the project is completed on time and to the high-quality standard that's expected. Additionally, the Leadership team is responsible for managing public affairs such as social media posts, our Discord server, and recruitment threads.
Members of the Leadership Team are in charge of some aspect of the entire project and are expected to be mature, responsible, and dedicated to the position. Past experience in a similar leadership role, while not required, is common for those accepted to the position. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a team is essential, as each member of the Leadership Team will be directing an aspect of the project.

Build
The Build Team is, quite simply, the team responsible for constructing the world and building all of the necessary landmarks as determined by the Design Team and Lore Team. However, the Build Team needs to work closely with both of these teams to help design areas that meet the goals of both and also look visually stunning.
Members of the Build Team must have some form of past building experience (pictures are requested in the application below) and are capable of building visually stunning landmarks that capture the attention of the players. As with every other position, creativity is a must. Furthermore, past experience with World Edit and VoxelSniper is a huge plus, while skill with WorldPainter, WorldGenerator, or another world creation tool would be absolutely amazing.

Development
The Development Team is the team in charge of creating custom plugins for the server, configuring existing plugins for the team to use, and working on other technical projects (such as the website). The server uses Sponge to manage plugins, so knowledge of the SpongePowered AIP is crucial to this position. If you're an experienced Java developer or have worked with plugins on other API's (Bukkit, Spigot, etc.), we do have people available to help get you started if you're willing to put the time in!
Members of the Development Team are expected to have technical experience and be capable of bug fixing and solving problems that arise. Plugin developers are expected to know Java and have past experience developing plugins, while Web Developers should be familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Proof of past work will be expected in the application below.

Resource
The Resource team is like the 'catchall' team for positions that don't fall into to other categories, but generally refers to positions supplementary to the main project. Currently, we are looking for a texture pack designer to create a custom texture pack to greatly enhance the capability of our Build Team in creating a stunning visual display throughout the world. If you're unsure what team you'd like to be in, this is the best place to get started!
Because this team consists of a variety of positions, there are no specific requirements. Members are to meet the same expectations as would any staff member, and skill with your specialty is expected.
