Thoughts about Creeper Style Villagers
What if some Creepers evolved and became friendly? What if they were the villagers you interacted with every day?
Here are some screens of the villager textures I'm working on. I don't have a Creeper style Zombie Villager yet tho.

Let me know what you folks think. If there is enough interest, I'll add a Google Docs link to the mini pack for these entities. Added a link to a downloadable mini pack so people can view the skins in-game for a better look.
Edit: I fixed the images so they actually show in the post. Sorry about that!

All look very cool
Okay using Tanasmmo's Idea I have put together a farmer outfit for these guys. And I scaled them to a variety of resolutions. As of right now, I haven't put up any mini packs for this outfit yet. Let me know what you think.

@Tanasmmo Yea, my 13yr old son said^ something similar about the eyes.
@araquasiki I'm assuming you mean the blank square eyes?
Should I add the sad creeper mouth as well or would that be too much?
@Tanasmmo Your clothing idea is good, I'll give it a go since my grandmother still does a lot of it. My sister makes little dolls (forget the name of them) for the gaming conventions she goes to. They seem popular enough. I just don't have the patience for it myself. In any case I should have plenty of patterns to look at to find ideas.
@nitromegamer If people are interested in using my textures, I'll be happy to make them in different resolutions. The trick would be to find a design that would look good in a wide range of choices. My eyes are not great so x64 tends to look like a bunch of fuzz to me. So I'm afraid I'll need a pair of good eyes for that resolution for feedback to make sure it looks right. ^_^; Either way, I'll give it a test run to post it up here to see what you think.
.
Thanks guys for all the feedback! Your detail and suggestions are really helpful
Edit: fixed a few typos.

Try making the eyes like a normal creeper.
You should try making them with the normal game resolution.
Meh, if you ignore the eyes its very nice. The eyes, though, remind me of a spider irl that has eyes that are the size of marbles. But how you did the actual body of it is very nice.
And I'm going to stay with the poor normal villagers, since I can't really use the texture pack anyways cause I use a mod pack with a lot of mods and a special mod. EDIT: Oh and a way to do clothing is you can look closely to crochet pictures or knitting pictures (Finished clothes) and try to make a pattern like that and see what you get.

umm ah umm..... Its to scary XD just joking. Nice idea!
Those villagers look like green aliens lol. But nice work.
Alright, I have a second attempt on the creeper style villagers.
Completely changed the face and gave them a moss-like body.
I haven't added the profession dependent clothing yet since I would like to receive some feedback on the base body template first.

Okay, I don't mind that. To avoid a repeat "ew" what in particular stands out as bad that should not be done again?
should definitely start from scratch. ew.
I went ahead and created a mini pack for you all to download so you can look at directly in game.
I really would like some feedback on these skins - even if it's just telling me they are horrible and I need to start from scratch. If they're not that terrible, but need improvement, I would like to know about it.
The mini pack includes sound files for these villagers with the following credits included in the pack as a .txt file:
