I'm making a texture pack for Minecraft and I was wondering which color for fire would look better(its a pvp pack). First of all its low fire, so I had a small doubt whether making the fire color grey/black would be a little overboard and make it hard to see. The two .png's of the normal and the black are right here.

you could try having a main version with colored fire, and then some tweak addons, or just have each type of modifier as separate, so that users can combine them
make sure that users know that having the same texture/sound be changed by separate packs will mean the pack higher in the resourcepacks list takes priority

gray, as black looks a bit weird and might contrast a bit with everything else
Thats exactly what i was thinking!
I think that the fire would be best colored -- especially in pvp, as one's eyes may not identify it as fire quickly enough to not be set ablaze. That, and I just think it looks nice colored.
