Drowned has a much cooler vibe, zombies are just pretty generic. However, drowneds with a trident, well thats different. Early-midgame they deal so much damage, and destroy boats. I once died because one that I didn't even know about threw it's trident up and over a hill to the side where I was and it killed me.
