Does RAM affect recording fps?
Current specs:
C2D e8500 @ 3.16 GHz
Intel HD Family graphics
4 GB Ram
500w PSU
and I add in a..........
Sapphire radeon HD 7770 OC
I can't get over 30 FPS while recording on the LOWEST SETTINGS.
Will this graphics card improve my recording fps, or is it because of my ram?
I use camtasia to record.

If i were interested in recording I'd go for the fastest hard-drive possible.
( while trying to maintain a nice resolution )
But up and to about 2 gigs RAM is also important.

I do believe ram is part of it. I updated.mine and while recording I got 50÷ fps
The biggest cause of lag while recording is hard-drive stalls.
With enough RAM you can choose to buffer your world file using a program such as RAM DISK before recording, which provides maximum frame-rate smoothness.
So to re-iterate; the primary performance limit during any full-resolution video recording is hard-drive access; which Minecraft is also extremely hungry for.
Good luck.

So, how much ram would you recommend? Or should I get a better hard drive? Thanks.
A new graphics card would certainly help. Default Intel graphics are horrible, so anything it better than that. RAM does effect your FPS somewhat too, but I would blame that on your old graphics card.
yeah I have ezvid and minecraft on no lag!!
Specs?? And by 'no lag' like how many fps??
