Hello, I am LiamMcGamer or recently known in Minecraft as Glaze_Donut.

In a few months I would like to buy a gaming computer for games such as Minecraft. My limit is $900 USD or $1100 CAD. One that is good on fps and not designed for looks but for performance and speed.

I have made a list on Amazon and I would like to know if this is a good idea and not Overkill. The link is http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/2HWWOWBR48NTT.
I would like to know your ideas and what might the FPS be, and if you want make your own list and send it to me, I just want ideas that's all, and idc if you share ideas with other people on this topic.

If you're building a gaming computer solely for Minecraft and similar games, it might not be worth it.
Moreover, if you plan on getting a GTX 970(ti) or higher, I would really recommend that you try out other games.. Minecraft doesn't require much to run.

No. There is nothing in the 900 series above the 980 Ti. There's the Titan X, but it's not part of the 900 series lineup.

Can you please stick to one budget? We can't keep constantly making builds for you.

Will you be overclocking? If not:

That CPU is an awful choice. It's essentially a 3-core CPU. It has 3 "modules" which include two integer compute units and one floating point compute unit. None of AMD's FX chips are true 4/6/8-core CPUs.

It's a h81 board, with a haswell CPU, he will never use more than 8gb on this system, nor will he need more than 2 slots. That's why I got one 8gb stick, you can always get another 8. Just saving money lol

I run an AMD FX6300 in my desktop and I've had no issues with it. Not to say all AMDs are stellar, but the same could be said about Intel. Since AMDs use a socket with pins on the processor it's a bit scary putting it into the motherboard, but other than that I'm happy with it. For $100 it's a great CPU.

did this based on TheDragonMage's first build.

Kept it the same for the most part except for using a skylake generation CPU and ddr4 RAM. One thing to note is that you won't be able to overclock with this build if you plan to, however that was the same with thedragonmage's build because of the locked down cpu/board. if you wish to overclock you can use this build instead:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NsN6Hx

neither of these builds include an operating system or peripherals

These are pretty cool builds, I might go for the second one, thats more of what I need in a computer

did this based on TheDragonMage's first build.

Kept it the same for the most part except for using a skylake generation CPU and ddr4 RAM. One thing to note is that you won't be able to overclock with this build if you plan to, however that was the same with thedragonmage's build because of the locked down cpu/board. if you wish to overclock you can use this build instead:

neither of these builds include an operating system or peripherals

I have an HP Envy 700-215xt with Windows 10, and I installed 8 GB of RAM. On superflat, it can pass 150 fps, and in a normal world, it averages 100 or so. I've only had lag when I try to pull off something huge, such as hooking a command block that spawns zombies to a super-fast clock and leaving it on for a few minutes, and even then the lag isn't that bad. Also, I always play with render distance 32 chunks, no matter what I'm doing.

Minecraft wiki says that with speed 100, you run faster than chunks can load, but I sprinted with speed 255 and didn't even come close to that. I can go into spectator mode in and fly at top speed in a normal world, and I don't have any problem with going faster than the chunks can load either.

Problems: I had this huge issue that appeared after about a year of use: My screen would flash extremely fast, blinding white shapes in random places across the screen, only while playing Minecraft. I haven't had this problem at all since I upgraded to Windows 10.

This is only for Minecraft; I don't play any other games on it. That's a down side to buying it- you don't know how it will perform elsewhere. However, I think it will do pretty well. An i7 and 16 GB of RAM usually does.

It's also within your budget, even if you choose to install some more RAM like I did.

And finally, I know a cool-looking computer isn't something on your want list, but this computer looks cool anyways.

Hopefully this helps.
