If you want a headset go for sennheiser...they're really good...however I highly suggest getting a pair of headphones and a mic...the quality is much better. (I did the wrong thing and got a headset...then later on I also got a mic...I like the quality of the sennheiser Game One though...but I could've saved money just getting a pair of headphones and a mic...don't make the same mistake)

If you must buy a headset, go for the HyperX Cloud. If you want to get the best sound, comfort, build quality, and experience for your money, go for a pair of headphones and a mic separately (HD 558 and Modmic).

All of these headsets marketed as "gaming" are just not as good. The best headphones for gaming are ones that have an open back which allows you to hear footsteps, small sounds, and detail like nothing else

Pretty good but charging them is a pain when you get the wire between the mouse and then you start jumping all over the place until you get it under your arm XD

There's not that big of a difference. They both function the same and the sound quality for both don't have much of a difference either. Nowadays some wireless headsets are actually faster than wired headsets. And most wireless headsets come with a wire to connect/charge them making them both wired and wireless.

If you can spend a little over the buget you can get an awesome pair of head phones.

The reason I tell people not to buy wireless especially is because in order for the signal to be transferred to the headphones, it has to be compressed which ruins the music/voices/games sounds.

OP, you can go for a pair of HD 558s when the price drops down again, and a modmic.

You can, however, get a pretty good pair of headphones and a mic (both wired) for that budget.

If you can even find a wireless headset for under $100, it'll sound like a $2 pair of headphones from walmart. To get the best for your money, you'll want a wired pair of headphones and a dedicated mic, instead of them built together. When companies build them together and sell the for a "bargain", it's an excuse for the company to put a cheap mic with a decent pair of headphones (or vice versa), and market them at a much higher price than what they're worth.

I'm not an audiophile, so I can't recommend anything, but there's a lot of audiophiles here who can help you.
