Like Minecraft? Love this.
World of Blocks is a new voxel sandbox game being programmed and designed by Red Coin Games. The user is able to build and destory the world as they see fit. Currently the game is still in "Alpha-Dev", which includes just basic mechanics of the game which includes "God Mode" where inventory is unlimited and flying is planned to be enabled. A leveling system is also being designed so that there will be a RPG feel to the game.

Also, survival will be set in a procedurally generated city in the midst of a Zombie Apocolypse..
To survive you must craft... Also were re-building in XNA C#.

Oh dear god. I just looked at the wiki (http://bit.ly/1ewXuFK) and it looks like they are serious. If they ignore my giant post earlier explaining Voxel/Sandbox etc and just make a copy of MC I will die.
Here's the wiki page they/he/she made. (Well, I copied and pasted the text)
Here's my deconstruction/critique of sorts of the Wiki-
Really? The engine is Unity 3D. Unity isn't open sourced or anything like that.
Everything seems OK- Except Crafting and Survival. They aren't even trying to not copy MC. A blatant copy.
The link to my giant post to motivate OP (Please look, OP of thread! It's toward the bottom of the page!)--

Re-Building From The Ground Up.
Were now going through the process of re-building the engine from the ground up. Snapshots will **hopefully** be released while were working on the new engine. The new release of the game wont be avalible for a matter of months. However, the current version snapshots are coming pretty soon.

Future Development.
Trains, Motion Blur, Day/Night, Crafting, Survival, Minions, Creatures/Monsters are all on the agenda for upcomming freatures.

Btw I did just play your "game", this is my review 0 out of 5 stars. Very buggy, not worth $.50. I do not reccomend this nock-off to anyone.
I'm so sorry. But it bothers me. *Knockoff
Great just what we need another minecraft! As though we actually need it!
Not that I've played it- But he mentioned it using Unity 3D. It is insanely easy to make a block game with Unity and remapping MC textures to the blocks. 10, 20 min max.
I am 99% sure that this is not MC, but a simple block game from Unity.
So everyone, stop calling it MC.

Ok, ok, ok.
No TL;DR, just read it, PLEASE.
PLEASE, don't take this the wrong way, but pretty much any voxel/sandbox game that is based purely on blocks is essentially a copy of MC. It's fine to be inspired by a game to create a game, but you are obviously trying to recreate the same feel of Minecraft.
You don't have to make it block-based, (Garry's Mod, UniverseSandbox, Blockland [Blockland surprisingly has waaaay more that just cubes and is based on freaking everything]).
Ace of Spades wasn't a copy of MC because AOS is very different- It has a separate feel. AoS deliberately uses the out-of-date 'Voxlap Engine' so the game can run on older PCs and new PCs alike. AoS has an interesting player model, (Rather than the purely block person in MC) along with having new physics which would take the meaning out of an ordinary non-linear sandbox game.
Blockland was made before MC (2000) and is still being touched up on. It's much different than AoS than MC, and is more comparable to Gmod. In the 'Vanilla' Blockland you can build anything, and tweak it precisely with the wrench tool.
There are many more building materials than blocks- The world isn't made of blocks, it's almost a look-alike to legos (Blockland is smexier than legos, if you ask me), but that all contributes to the feel of the game.
Minecraft was original. It was the first voxel/sandbox of it's kind, and that is very respectable. Making a game using cubes is fine, just TRY to give it a different feel to MC. (In example; Bigger cubes? Smaller cubes? Simpler graphics [Use an older gaming engine for full effect]? More user control [Wrench tool in Blockland is an example]?)
What I'm trying to say is that I don't want another MC clone. No matter how much you say it isn't- "It's like an RPG!" it is. RPG isn't genre enough to separate it from MC. So if you really want to create something new, try a genre that hasn't been explored purely in blocks-- Racing? Platformer? <strike>MMO? (Cubeworld)</strike>
So really, don't make a copy of MC and hide it as an RPG. If you really want to make an RPG in ugly cubes, than try to make a different player model, different viewing angle, I.E. main one top down?), no generated map- One, great adventure, weapons, tools, NPC's (Must-have), etc.
Please take the time to read above. No TL;DR bullblock.
Sorry about all of that. I'm not trying to discourage you, I'm trying to help you create something original.

Somehow the desert screenshot on the wiki looks EXACTLY like minecraft with a resource pack...
Chests. Bookcases. Spurce, Birch Oak wood. Lava, water. Cactus, Sugarcane, Both red and brown mushrooms. It's not a coincidence.
Containing common blocks that exist in the real world.
What are the odds that you pick the exact same ones Mojang developers did?
What are the odds that you pick the exact same ones Mojang developers did?
Because they are the most common REAL LIFE building materials... Got any other ideas?
Guys yes, its a block based voxel game like minecraft, I am not 8 I am 14 and hope to become a video game developer.
It currently contains Common blocks that may be in minecraft but were originally FROM THE REAL WORLD.
We hope to expand the game by adding original features. Please ask questions, Suggest features or leave the thread. Neither Red Coin Games or PMC welcome Flamers...

Working on it!
maybe, original idea?
Please, stop flaming.
and FYI, bricks existed before minecraft...

Please, stop saying you have a game in the making then never create it and make fake snap shots of it
and FYI you sir are a faking god of faking 8 year old faker faking life
Into YOUR blocks? More like the exact same blocks Minecraft has (Oh wait, that's because it is Minecraft.) Seriously, you're just exasperating me now. Why does the internet have to be full of trolls?
I'm saying that Sphax PureBDCraft is a Minecraft texture pack. You can't run Minecraft texture packs on a game that's not Minecraft.
The texture map has been converted into one that we have mapped to our blocks.
Sorry to burst your bubbles, but Sphax is Minecraft. MINECRAFT. Not some knockoff game that doesn't exist.
Sorry to burst YOUR bubbles, Sphax is person. PERSON who makes texture packs that we have rights to use.
rights to make a game without even asking sphax wow your are weird thinking you have rights to make a game with it and not even asking sphax now i want hard photo solid proof you got permission from sphax himself otherwise FAKER ALERT
We have written permission from Sphax, but we cant issue out a screenshot because of copying then bragging (if you know what i mean...)
I would give it out anyway if you want you game to stop being called a fake. It is a simple way to prove it ^-^
mincraftED-snip-
What games haven't we finished? and Unity and Blender aren't game makers. everything is coded in (in this case) C#. If your referring to Gaia we collaborated on, we were mis-informed.
This is Minecraft in a texture pack. Get real.
too true! ugh how disgusting never finishing a game or just making a minecraft texture packed version of vanilla and claiming it to be yours...
We have finished all* of our games and like i said before that was a really early Snapshot of which we have rights to use it in this case also, Sphax is credited.
Most screenshots including the one you have shown are really early Snapshots with Sphax PureBDCraft as the texture map, which is no longer the case.
mincraftED-snip-
Truth be told, ED's right. You have said you are going to make half a dozen games, but never finished them.
Another Blocky Sandbox? XD
Anyway, It actually looks good for a game in development stage, would you want me to play it on YT?

Thanks, Were trying to make it different from other sandbox'. Feel free to, I could end up embedding it
Norton says BO1_02 is a virus...
Trust me its not, i have norton on here right now...
I do believe you, but I need the heads up of another PMC'er, as I don't want my expensive computer to be taken down. I've had that before, and it barely came out alive :/
All that's in there is an Application (the game no virus') and the Data folder that unity requires. Download it and do a scan on it then.
