Need a Graphics Card!
My friend is looking for a new graphics card. His plan is to slowly upgrade certain parts of his PC until it gets good, and he has determined that his GPU is where he needs to start. He's looking for a single slot, and preferably not Sapphire, because he heard somewhere that they are bad. His budget is 100$-200$CAD.
Im worried his CPU will bottleneck a new GPU, not im not sure. His current CPU is a AMD E1-2500.
Also, if anyone is looking to build a PC, this website is pretty cool:http://www.logicalincrements.com/

Maybe he is upgrading his laptop?
Upgrading anything in a laptop except the ram and hdd is as easy as performing open heart surgery with no experience, while blindfolded with both hands tied behind your back, while you're slowly sinking in quicksand.
However, @OP, if he does have a desktop (somehow with a laptop processor) and its motherboard has a PCI-E slot, the 270x is a mid/high end gpu for under $200 CAD (after MIRs).
If he's willing to pay a little extra and do a mail-in-rebate, and his PSU is sufficient enough to handle an AMD card, then I would highly suggest the 270x.

However, this will, without a doubt, be bottlenecked by the cpu. I would highly suggest upgrading the CPU ASAP if possible.

Sapphires are brilliant, You can't dis an entire line of cards.

The Sapphire 265x is well in you budget. I am currently using it and can run most games on max. It has 2 fans which are good for airflow too.

The E1-2500 is a laptop processor... Are you sure that's his cpu?

datmoedoenot Sapphire, because he heard somewhere that they are bad.
Sapphire is actually the best AMD card maker. Don't know where he heard that they are bad, but they are in fact the best.
