Don't get an Apple computer. They're not built for gaming like a PC is.

The Air would not work well for games as it has integrated graphics built into the CPU. If you're on a budget I would go for the Inspiron but the retina display MacBook Pros are very good if you have the money. The Inspiron is a bigger bang for your buck however.

I would recommend making your own computer. Yes it may seem intimidating at first but once you understand the basics of where components go then it will be a breeze.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y500

Higher resolution display, better GPUs, same price as the Inspiron.

Don't get a Mac. You can get a PC with the same features of a Mac for $700, while the Mac is around $1000 to $2000. If you're serious about gaming, look into a desktop. Although it's not on the list, I recommend the Dell Inspiron 15R. That's the one I have. It's $850 and I run Minecraft on Medium at 150 FPS. While recording I go down to 50 FPS, but oh well. That's your best bet.

**IF you're going for the Mac, do yourself a favor and get the Pro. Air has 2 gigs of RAM and will run Minecraft at 40-50FPS at the MOST.

Cheers
