Processor: AMD Bulldozer FX-6 6100 Black Ed. AM3+ (6x 3.3Ghz)

Memory: 8Gb DDR3 1333Mhz

Hard Drive: 1 Terabyte Serial ATA II

Graphics: GTX550 1024Mb DDR5

This is the computer I am planning on buying, which I will use for gaming. So if you could leave a comment down below on how well it would run games. Such as Minecraft on whatever settings at X number of FPS that would be amazing

So if I did get that computer would it blow up or something? Also how do you tell what Sata each thing is? Because I would of guessed that the Motherboard was Sata 3 since it says "SATA 3Gb/s"

No, sata 3 is 6gbit/s and sata 2 is 3gbit/s, you will get slightly worse performance out of a hard drive, but if you buy a solid state later, you will regret going with sata 2.
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/yZFD if you can get 576 pounds
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/yZAD if you can get 640 pounds
I really think there should not be much more discussion, these are both very good builds, if you can get 640, you can get the top of the line AMD graphics card and processor, or 576 gets you the second top of the line on the graphics card and processor.

Trust me, building your own computer is not hard, and is very worth it in the end, the only real danger is putting in the cpu, which is hardly true on an amd platform, look up a youtube video, and in a couple of hours you will be very satisfied with your work and computer.

Tried again at making a custom one on PcSpecialist, since I don't plan on putting one together myself. How would this be for £561

Processor: AMD A10-5800K Quad Core APU (3.8Ghz) & Radeon HD 7660D Graphics

Motherboard: Asus F2A55- M LE: (M-ATX, DDR3, USB2.0, SATA 3Gb/s)

Memory: 8Gb Kingston HyperX Genersis Dual-DDR3 1866Mhz X.M.P(2 x 4Gb Kit)

Graphics: 2Gb Nvidea Geforce GTX 650 Ti - DVI, mHDMI, VGA)

Hard Drive: 1Tb 3.5" SATA-III 6Gb/s HD 7200RPM 32mb Cache

Also would this power source be enough?: 350W Dual Rail PSU + 120mm Case Fan

Edit:

Have just realized it is nearly the same to the one I posted at the bottom of the first page, apart from the better graphics card I believe. Oh well, it's still lightly better I think, isn't it? Or am I completely wrong?

You put an apu in the setup, and your hard drive is sata 3, but your motherboard is sata 2, I set one up quickly, it is 605 pounds, but I think if you save up the extra cash, it is very much worth it http://pcpartpicker.com/p/yZsA

tumber77Some of the people have have no Idea what they are talking about.... If you are buying a graphics card, don't buy an APU (made to use integrated graphics, basically an fx4300 without l3 cache), and the 3470 is a locked CPU, the 550 is a generation behind the 650 (they just made it a year later, and the price is worth the kepler is worth the extra $10), these are budget cards, and you can do much better with $850, an example of one we built for my friend at $700 (USD that is)

With 850 you could even make a few upgrades, you could message me on skype if you want some advice. (tumber77)

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/w6oS is the build we made (we already had ram) We got a lower end chipset, so if you wanted something similar you would get 990fx & an 8350 which would be great upgrades, the kid had a really strict $700 budget, so we got a lower end motherboard, since motherboards are not much of a factor in performance, you buy them for features.

If you want something fast, use an ssd. They are relatively cheap and run 10x faster than a normal harddrive. Also, Minecraft can run on a toaster, so to speak, so if you are planning on making a fast mc machine, you don't need to go all out. A dual or quad core processor will work, 8gb ram is plenty, 500 gb ssd is great, a cool case, and fans and you are set.

At this moment in time I am using this seriously terrible laptop. So I want to upgrade and with this new computer I wouldn't just play Minecraft. I would also like to get into more games since I will actually be able to play them with a decent computer, compared to this laptop I have now. I would still like to carry on playing on Mincraft since I do still enjoy it

I would suggest you to get a GTX 6XX and an Intel CPU.
Here is a website which gives scores of Processors and Graphics Cards: http://www.passmark.com

On passmark, the AMD 5800k has a score of 4788 and the GTX 650 has a score of 1810.

I would suggest you to get this computer for $999: http://www.mln.com.au/product/?itemID=4362 (I don't know if they ship to where to live)

It has a i5-3570 which has a score of 7018, a GTX 660Ti 2GB DDR5 which has a score of 4613 and 16GB of RAM. (Can run battlefield 3 maxed out at 60+ FPS)

That computer you linked kind of exceeds my budget. But what would be a the best computer available to me with a budget of £550 pounds roughly. Which is about $870.

I would highly suggest water cooling for the rig, so that if in the future you would like to overclock anything you can without having to upgrade cooling

I'd highly recommand the sapphire Hd 7950 boos edition. with 3gb gddr5. I have it in my new custom build computer and I play minecraft with over 250 fps stable, sometimes it even goes up to 600 depends of which area you in.

But with a good gameing computer comes a good CPU. A CPU is 50 % of your GPU power. Take a look at the Intel I5 3750K.

My computer has about the same specs as the one you're getting.

Sadly, it runs MC at around 100 fps. I don't know if it's me or computers just hate me, but games don't tend to run nicely if I'm the one using the computer. I strongly suggest overclocking any processor you get, and a GTX 6XX is good, so the computer you are looking at right now is pretty decent.

The eye can only perceive around 25-35 fps... Any higher is overkill, I'm running an ati radeon 2600 I get around 200fps. But even then most monitors only support about 60fps, and high frame rate on a low frame rate monitor can cause image tearing.

I went on PCspecialist and made a custom computer, how does this compare to the computer I originally posted. Better or worse?

Processor: AMD A10-5800K Quad Core APU (3.8Ghz) & Radeon HD 7660D Graphics

Motherboard: Asus F2A55-M LE: (M-ATX, DDR3, USB2.0, SATA Gb/s)

Memory: 8Gb Samsung Dual-DDR3 1333Mhz (2x4Gb)

Graphics: 1Gb Nvidea Geforce GTX 650 - DVI, mHDMI, VGA

Hard Drive: 1TB 3.5" SATA III

Power Supply: 450W Quiet 80 PLUS Dual Rail PSU = 120mm Case fan

What's that like?

With this computer, if you have OptiFine (Mod which gives you better FPS), you should be able to get 200+ FPS on Fancy graphics and Far render distance.

And the computer is really good considering the price.

Bf3 will run at about, say, 30 to 40 fps on Ultra, but maybe 60 or more on low.

You're good to go with that card.

GTX 550 is not a decent gaming graphics card. I highly suggest a GTX 6XX, for those are mid-range graphics cards, but the price is pretty large.

I agree. The 600 series have approximately similar price tags than 500 series, yet offer significant improvements.

In my opinion, there's really no point in not getting a 600, but if this computer only offers the 550 ti, that's perfectly fine and will suffice. My friend has a 550 ti, and it serves him well.
