Hello! So I don't want to hang around with my stock desktop anymore and I want to build my own gaming computer, yet i don't have to much knowledge on what parts are good/not good. I'd like to run minecraft on 60+ fps with hd settings/texturepacks/ and shaders, I don't play many other PC games but I might in the future. Can anyone help me out on a build? My budget is probably around 1000-1500 but i would rather spend less since its my parents who are being willing enough to buy me one!

What is this computer going to be used for?
HD Minecraft, making large renders on chunky, recording mc, and possible other pc games
What is your budget?
$1000-1500
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
Washington state, and frys electronics if that even counts. (Im happy to order pieces online)
What is included in the budget?
I need everything except a monitor, keyboard, and mouse!
Will be overclocking?
I would greatly like to, but if i can get good results without then its not necessary
Will you be reusing any parts?
Only my monitor keyboard and mouse like I said before
What OS do you want?
I don't really like it but ill go with Win 8 since Im used to it now
Any specific case preferences?
Nothing over the top and to flashy, I think they look ugly
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Room for upgrades in the future, and also an nvidia GPU that allows for shadowplay (preferably a gtx 770, but others will do)

Thanks for the help in advance!

AMD now has a feature in it's GPUs called GameDVR. This is essentially the same as Shadowplay, just for AMD cards. Plus, with AMD's cards now being (usually) cheaper than nVidia's, you're going to be able to save some money.

Here's a great non-overclocking build. It will do whatever you need. It also has a SSD. The budget went around $1100 to start, but with rebates it will come in at around $1080.

In general, overclocking isn't going to be needed (or wanted) unless you are a serious computer person looking to increase their computer's performance or a serious OC'er looking for bragging rights. However, here is a good overclocking build that will help you do whatever you need and still do relatively well in overclocking.

You will probably want a bigger power supply. You'd be good with a 750W. A power supply will probably be around $80-100.

600W is the max I would recommend, any more and you'd be overspending. A good power supply costs about $50 in the case of Corsair.

Again, overpriced ram. Also why are you getting the k version of the 4690 in a non overclocking build??? Thats a waste of money.

The ram you linked is more expensive upfront. And like i said i forgot to change the CPU.

Upfront yes, but its cheaper with the rebate.

I find mail-in rebates are more of a pain then they are worth.

Isn't this a non-overclocking build?

Oops forgot to change out the CPU. I fixed it now.

This one is good. Just know that solid state drives are expensive, especially for a lot of space. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/samsung-in ... mz7te250lw
