Pc Parts Upgrading Help
Hello I want to upgrade my pc soon, but I don't know what I should upgrade.
The thing I am looking for is better performance for gaming and rendering images.
GPU: Sapphire Radeon hd 7870 2 GB GHz edition
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 760k 3.8GHz (Socket FM2)
PSU: Corsair CX 600W
RAM: 8 GB
HDD: 1 TB

Horribly overpriced and doesn't help the OP in anyway. Please provide good advice or leave.

Get 3 NVidia Tesla Coil graphics cards, and connect them all together, then get 4 500GB 6GBps SSDs, using Raid 0, so then you need a Raid card.

That's not getting you enough performance? You must set your standards pretty high.

Everything's essentially maxed out for what you want it to do, but I see two things you can upgrade/change:
- Get a larger, faster hard drive
- Replace the motherboard and CPU with an Intel i7 (3770K or 4770K are your best options) -- Intel's CPUs have been shown to have higher benchmarks than similar AMD CPUs, and the i7's hyper-threading will help render videos a lot faster.
You could also grab an NVIDIA GTX 660 or better, which lets you render videos/images using the GPU (so long as your movie maker software allows it). That AMD GPU is pretty incredible, but I don't think you can render videos with it.
EDIT: I thought you said "render videos." Woops. A GPU upgrade shouldn't be needed.

Thanks, I think I want to upgrade my CPU and motherboard.

Though upgrading you cpu to an i7 is a great idea you will have to buy a new mobo and an OS which would end up being 400$ total for the upgrade. If you are more concerned with gaming performance then it might be a better choice to upgrade your graphics card now and your CPU later.
