Ps4 or PC for next gen gaming?
Hello,
I was wondering, for next gen gaming, what would be the best option, a ps4, or a low price gaming pc? Keep in mind that if I were to build a pc, my budget would remain at $400 and below. I have seen many $400 builds that can run current gen games at 1080p with decent settings and high framerates, but how would this run next gen games? I guess what it really comes down to is which one will give me the best performance for the $400 price point?
Thanks,

Ok guys, Thanks for all of the responses.
It seems that the general consensus is to wait it out, save up around $600-$800, and get a gaming pc. I may end up going this route, as I am having my doubts about buying a next generation console that already is having trouble playing games at 1080p (This is true for the Xbox One as well). My only problem is that this would be my first time building a pc, and as such, would it really make sense for me to invest this much money into it?
Thanks again,

Gaming laptops are the best
Investing 400$ in a computer makes little sense to me, save up, be patient and get something three times as good.
If you got a PC for the same price as the PS4 it would fall apart in 1 month and since its a PC it would be very bad art games since PCs are used for more things.
PC FTW! Or laptops are good !
PC. It's worth the extra money, easier to upgrade and fix and doesn't depend on the a single company to continue its usefulness/lifespan. A PC will always be able to play any game you want to play on it, instead of having to buy the next console. You also have the ability to mod your game, which certainly makes PCs stand out.
For those with not a whole lot of wiggle room as far as a budget however, console is the way to go if you aren't keen on waiting until you have more money. Consoles will cost you more in the long run (since you're forced to buy accessories over and over and spend more on games, not to mention monthly payments for other services on your console) and you don't have the benefit of Steam sales and other offers that PC users have.

PC For the win. You can do anything on games with PC. Like mod them etc while with consoles, you can't.
For $400, you won't be able to get much, even if you were to build one on your own. Alienware made a nice gaming netbook with more or less decent specs (the M11x). It's discontinued now, but you can find it for about $500 on eBay.
Unfortunately gaming and portable computers don't get along very well. Gaming on a laptop or netbook puts a lot of stress on the system and causes a lot more heat than the cooling system would like to deal with, causing the parts to wear out faster than if you were using a desktop computer.
Final opinion: save up around $800 to $1000 to get parts for a good gaming computer. $400 won't get you very far.

That would involve a good bit of extra waiting to save up the money on my part, would the end result be so vastly superior to a ps4 that it would justify waiting for a long amount of time and missing out on some of the ps4 exclusive titles?
I would invest extra money for a pc instead of a console. Remember you use it for other things besides gaming and you can spend less money in the long run with upgrading
How much extra money are we talking? I have around $400 now, but I really don't have any means of income for a pc, I may be able to go up to $450 or $500... What would be a good build in this price range, or at least close to it?
Thanks
