The Ol' Shooters

This is a mini-thingy for remembering the shooters that drove us into the nowadays gaming. I just want to give 'em some proper respect. Let's get started:
1. Doom & Doom2, pretty much the first shooters, great and fun games. Also, the first gory games into existance. Without these, we would probably still play Mario right now xD.
2. Heretic, Hexen etc., the modified Doom engine games, which brought something new: inventory and items. For those RPG players out there, you should kneel before the old god of RPG games, although it wasn't an complete RPG, it had it's most important element: items.
3. Wolfenstein 3D, more mazez than pretty much any other games. Haven't played it a whole lot, but it was pretty fun and it's one of the first FPSs out there, so it is very important for our gaming generation.
4. Duke Nukem 3D, pretty much the first game that included strip and naked women, plus a nice chunk of alien gore. The second big daddy of shooters.
This is pretty much what I wanted to say. If you know any other old FPSs (first person shooters) that were important in the video game history, please tell them below. Also, make sure to vote on the poll.

I love Team Fortress Classic. It's an awesome Half-Life mod that become standalone. I'm addicted to that game. There hasn't been a single day in the past month (not an exaggeration) where I haven't played TFC.
