Macs are WAY overpriced and they dont use the best hardware. That is why people hate on macs, they are OVERPRICED and they dont use the best hardware. The only thing I like about a Mac is the OS X operating system, but I still prefer windows. If you get a $1000 mac you could use that money to build yourself a computer that would be like 10x better than you would get for a mac. Plus, PCs are more customizable, you can choose/change your hardware at anytime, as long as the parts are compatible, you can put it into your system, you can adjust the budget and have it do what you need and have what you want, most of the time.

Not to mention they use laptop hardware in a desktop all-in-one form factor.
Makes sense for them to use laptop GPUs, but you could pretty easily fit a decent desktop CPU in an all-in-one (as well as normal RAM instead of the DDR3L they use).

Op never said they were gaming plus my desktop which cost less than $1000 less than that will beat it in every way. That leaves you $1000 to buy a touchscreen monitor.
On the last one that is $100 more than my PC but with much worse specs. If you just built it like that you'd save about $300-600

I have a lenovo windows 8 touchscreen laptop, and I love the OS/whatever, but it has a very flimsy structure, and I wouldn't recommend lenovo. Their customer service isn't great, either.
