Wow.
I don't see why people are complaining. I am fine with my internet until a YouTube video buffers.
I live in Australia by the way.

Guy, never mind what you do, unless you're the only one connected to that cable, you will never, and when i say never i mean it, you will never get that 1 GBPs speed.

ReynardStill, you made the original post.
Still, i have to do some stuff, brb later.

yes but the OP only has 10mb/s upload unless you are refering to the youtube video that is in the OP.

here is google fiber wifi btw:

LBUlises1Hopefully Google Fiber comes to CA C:

google fiber uses a "pre-signup" sytem were you signup on their site and pay $1-15(not sure)and what ever place gets the most "pre-signups" google fiber will come to next.

to sign up go here https://fiber.google.com/

There is no signup place on their, unless you are talking about the check address option ontop of the page, cause I already did that like 5 days ago, XD.

why is the speed so slow?

i did this test with wifi, sadly most adapters are really slow (mine maxes out at around 30mb/s .
how much does it cost?
$300 one time set up fee and $75 after tax a month.

Low-end adapters from the last decade run at 54 mb/s. If you're only getting 30, something must be going on.

I could be paying $60 or $70 a month and get a lot faster internet than even what I have now.

EDIT:

Mikenopa

wireless with no programs running (via safe mode)

OK, that's worth $75 a month.

on top of internet i get tv

EDIT: if you want to know how fast ethernet is look at my youtube video on the OP

it has effected it really little, since most sites max out around 20mb/s

LBUlises1I'm using Wifi to and I still have better than google fiber at the moment :I

i have higher upload speed and my wireless adapter is interior, at the same time google fiber is quite new(and due to changes) that is why it is not nation wide and only in kansas city.

Comcast:

I'd rather have 24 down and 5 up than about 15 each way.

EDIT: How much does Google Fiber cost, anyway?

Im just trying to prove the point that Google fiber is still in development so there are better options out there at the moment. But being the big supporter of Google that I am I believe that it will take over soon.

Umm dude, you do not have 1gbs, you have 17mbs. So I think you would be better off using comcast or time warner. They both provide better that is not at a business rate.
