I just portforwarded! i tried connecting with my ip from whatismyip.com and then :25565 at the end, and it STILL WONT LET ME CONNECT!!! ...what did I do wrong? I have an actiontec router, version V1000H where it says LAN ip: do I put in my cmd control ip or whatismyip.com ip? and for the second one, it says (optional) but I did it anyways, and it says remote ip: I put in my cmd control ip at first and then my whatismyip.com ip. On my server it lets me connect w/ my cmd control ip and then :25565. When I tried leading my server to pmc, it says go to whatismyip.com and get my local ip. I HAVE NO IDEA WUT TO DO! HELP!!

Okay, well I've got rid of my ip in my server settings. I went to whatismyip.com and when to minecraft, direct connect, and typed in my ip w/ :25565 at the end. It won't connect me, tho I can connect with my other ip from the cmd control. I NEED HELP. It won't work. and idk why. plz someone give me a good answer and who knows what they're doin. Yes, the IP from whatismyip.org/.com is the right one. Just the IP= slot in your server properties needs to be blank, if you want only people connected to your internet to join the server, then you put your IP in that slot.

Yep u don't put ip and that ip is for u connecting to ur comp to ur roter
