Does anybody else agree with me that PMC needs a mobile app or website? the app may have capabilities for the pocket edition, but that wouldn't be it's point. It would just be for browsing, and looking for stuff to check out later. or reporting. I was trying to report a texture pack on my phone today, and it completely glitches out on the report screen, 100% of the time. PMC is a great site, and could really benefit from a mobile site or app. I want to encourage this, but i don't know a great way, so ill do it this way: online petition.
If you agree with this topic, just say that in the comments! Please Planet Minecraft! I think this would benefit you!

I don't think you realize how long this has been asked for. I doubt it is going to happen, get over it.
I know, but the more we ask, the more likely it is.
Yeah it would! But unfortunately I will still continue to post off-topic
If you think using a iPhone is bad, try using a 3DS . A mobile edition would be easier to make, and would be compatible with more devices. Being able to post blogs from a tablet would be the best though.
Using a 3DS is worse! I've tried it.
Besides when I have to upload projects, I am always going on PMC on my iPad
Ofcoarse Paril,
I would never actually try to stand between PMC and it's users without both the express permission and complete involvement from all of our awesome communities most savy developers - such as yourself.

Scraping data from PMC is not allowed in that sort of context unless it's from us developers of the site, sorry.
PMC runs fine on mobile devices.

You mean, for the most part. Yes, PMC works fine when browsing skins and stuff, but have you tried the following:
-Who
- Trying to report (Crashes sometimes, very hard)
- Uploading blogs (You need to know HTML, unless you want no spaces)
- Chat (Absolutely horrible!
-Who
oh, and don't forget checking diamonds. I know that isn't very necessary, but like reporting (which IS necessary) it slides down whenever you are near it. it just slides down off the screen, and you scroll down, see it, and it slides away again!
Not only that theres:
Forums, it doesn't log you in, so you can't post. And if you try to tap log in it goes to home, try going back to forums it happens again!

Yeah, forums are hard. I don't completely agree though

I could very easily code an interface to planetminecraft.com which runs well on mobile devices.
I would likely use flash, java or both.
Adaptive Resolutions, Commenting, and skin-previewing would of-coarse come standard.
Accessing a certain domain ( MobilePMC.com ) would be all that's necessary from the end users perspective.
[sorry apple users]
Unfortunately there would be no-way for me or any other developer to make such an application available on apple devices... all legally available apple-compatible browsers block embedded media ( as they represent a large source of competition )... and there's no-way apple would allow a free third-party-written convenience app in there market place ( since as not-partnered with the content producers they couldn't legally take any money for it ).

I agree 100%. In fact I started a petition a while back but it never got anywhere.
I was thinking of this its a great idea.
I am going to contact Cyprezz about possibly giving permission to me to make it.
cool idea
Read this.
ah, yes. But that is requesting an app. I don't think an app is necessary. I just want to have it a bit easier to get around in on mobile. mobile sites are relatively easy, i think (although i don't know for sure). I think its not absolutely necessary, but it may be a good investment!
Indeed. Was looking for that, sir. So thank you.
My pleasure. *Tips hat in traditional Victorian gentry style*
That would be a cool idea
