I have recently heard the terms power gaming and meta gaming and I have not much of an idea on what they mean could someone explain?

Anyway basicly power gaming is making you character overpowering or OP in roleplay for instance, someone says *handcuffs dren, then you say *struggles out of handcuffs and runs away, that is basicly power gaming. Im not sure if you'll understand.
Meta gaming is using out of character or OOC information to help you in game character IE. in world of Warcraft you do a mission, then do it again but you know what will happen, so you avoid all the obstacles.
