Remembering the Tragedy in Connecticut

I'm sure most Americans have heard about what happened at this point.
If you didn't, this is what happened.
One normal day at an elementary school in Connecticut, a shooter who is said to have had mental issues open fired at a class of first graders using an assault weapon (sure enough California banned those faster than you can say "stop arguing about gun rights and be more sensitive to those who lost their lives.") 26 people were killed, 20 of which were children.
Let's just keep all the children and their families in our prayers and remember anyone who died in this horrible accident.
And let's also remind ourselves that amid these horrible events, there are heroes like the teachers that protected their students, and the kids who survived.
To any family who lost someone they love that day, even the family of the shooter, you are in my prayers, and God bless you.

They are talking about it but they said it would be too hard and the gun lobbies in America are too powerful. I can just imagine people getting angry at the new laws and go on some more massacres or something.

All of the kids that were killed were only 6-7 years old. They had their whole life ahead of them, I just want to know what was going through the man's head when he decided to do it.

Ah. Thank you for this. I made a post about this the day it happened, but it got locked, as it was supposedly open to flaming or something. Oh well, yours is worded much better. Thank you, and may those innocent children and teachers rest in peace.

I think his mother was included in that number, but I might be wrong. On the news today, they went in a bit more detail. The principle was said to be very nice and caring. I didn't hear about the intercom thing though.

What I heard is that the shooter was a Kindergarten teachers son and he got mad at her and killed her, 6 other teachers and 20 children. That makes 27. Also, he killed his father. It was also a Buzz-in school. He killed the principal first and the loud speaker was on and they all heard the scream.
