I think my first was a Beautifly in Diamond in Eterna Forest. I think it was level 9.

The other one I caught was a Tangela in Heart Gold. It was pretty high leveled, around 50, and I was able to quickly evolve it into Tangrowth. It's pretty awesome.

I haven't found another since, I don't think, but my sister found one in a game I can't remember at about level 20. It was aaa... Tentacool. Yea.

The breeding-with-foreign-pokemon thing is called the masuda method and increases the chance by 4 times I think
Of course it is possible to get any legendary shiny (with a few thousand soft resets of course) EXCEPT for zekrom/reshiram. It's impossible to get a shiny one legit and the reason why they have shiny sprites is to make sure the game doesn't crash when hackers get one

I have a lv. 6 shiny Geodude in HeartGold, and a shiny Mienshao on White. I obtained a shiny Golbat in a trade (I gave them a Cyndaquil), which I traded for a shiny Heracross, and I traded that for a shiny Typhlosion.

I got 2 1st one was a Raticate found in the wild like level 37 I think and 2nd a Shiny Hatched Eevee both from Soul Silver.

After putting in around 3000+ hours into nearly every single Pokemon game, I've only ever got one shiny Pokemon. I got a level 48 shiny Machoke in Emerald. I almost cried with joy when I saw it xD

So far i got 4 shiny pokemon on pokemon white 2 here is the order i caught them in:
First i got a lvl 100 mewtwo from trading then a shiny raikou(or what ever his name is) lvl 100 from the same person that i got the mewtwo from(i traded him in for a palkia) then a shiny Dratini which i got from the white tree on lvl 1(now he is a dragonite) and finnaly a shiny haxorus in the nature presserve.

My brother caught a shiny roselia and he found a shiny graveler. The graveler, sadly, used self destruct and fainted.

I got a Wingull in pearl version.Now its a Pelliper .

I never got a shiny pokemon.

Seeing as I have probably fought thousands of Pokemon over the years, I hope you believe me with these.
The first was a green golbat on Sapphire in Victory Road, which was lost because I forgot to save and dropped the gameboy in excitement, crashing the game.
The second was a green grimer on Leaf Green in the Cinnabar mansion, which I have trained to level 80 or so.
The third was a roselia on Diamond, but since I haven't played that in a long time, I consider it lost.
Actually the first was the red gyrados, but we all have that, so it doesn't really count.

The most annoying shiny was in a trainer tower match, I almost cried when I had to defeat the green espeon.

Most shinies I come across seem to be green...

Shiny Pokemon are Very Very Hard to find in the Wild

Mine was a tentacool lvl 15 i think and i caught it in Sapphire

found a shiny zubat on diamond then my friend stole it when I was trading it to evolve it I think I caught it around level 20

Never found a shiny before but my sis did it was a tangela on firered

Mine was an Swinub, don't remember the lvl but was in original pokemon gold I found several others since, whismur on ruby, roselia on ruby and a bidoof on ruby. Don't remember if there is anymore although I traded for a few on the global trade system, shellder and an graveler which evolved to golem.
