Should I try Game Maker Studio?
Hey folks, SB here once again. I am learning HTML and soon java script. Ever since I was a kid I've wanted to make a game. Would this program be good to use for just screwin' around and testing stuff?

If you do choose to use Unity, this video series is really helpful:

Hey Snookie,
As someone who is on a game development course at College, I can tell you that GM:S is a good starting point. I used GM8 (the predecessor to GM:S) and it is quite useful for learning some basic steps in game dev.
I cannot remember exactly what code it uses but I do remember making a 2D side-scrolling version of Minecraft in GM8 for my coursework.
At the moment the big scripting languages for people to learn are C+ and C#. A good free program to learn these in is Unity. There are plenty of tutorials that can teach you the basics of coding in Unity. Unity games are generally coded in C# but there is some HTML5 and JS integration.

Thanks a lot.
Unity3D is by far the best free game maker I have found so far, it is easy to use, and a lot of scripting is already done in it's downloadable prefabs.
For 2D yes, if you want 3D then try unity
Thanks is it easy?
