Well, since I watch a ton of anime, I watch alot of different genres. To be honest, I like nearly all genres. Action, Comedy, Romance, Drama, Moe, Slice of Life, Fantasy, and so on.
Just as long as the story and characters are good, I will like almost any story.

Clever genre fusions. Something generously sprinked with violence and porn. Complex plots. Morally ambiguous characters.

I guess I would say inspirational. Maybe I'm just saying that because the stories I've read most recently have all had depressing endings.
