I enjoy old country.
My favorite song? The Devil Went Down to Georgia
Though, I suppose that it could be considered classic rock. Oh well.

Rock, techno, and orchestra remixes. (JUST 'CUZ.) Bands that play them are Nirvana, Frederico Franchi, and the Tokyo Philarmonic Orchestra.

Ohgod. I love expressing my musical taste... ;A;
(Please, don't judge my opinions by a single song. These vary waaaaaay too much. Lolol)
I'm also hoping that the tags show up as videos, because the person who started the thread is apparently having problems. :'C
ANYWAY
To be honest, I mostly like newer music. Personally, 2009 was the best year in music. But that was before 2010. Then 2010 was the best year in music. And so on xD
I don't like mainstream stuff... usually.
My favourite genres are industrial techno genres, along with some rhythmic noise (as long as it isn't Xotox), and industrial rave music.
I don't typically like happy music though. xD
Here are some songs that I really enjoy.
Terrorfakt - No Frequency (remix by Imperative Reaction)
This is a dark, monotone, hard-hitting industrial techno/rave song with noise effects to back it up. The funny thing is that Imperative Reaction is usually more upbeat and rock-esque. Oh well, this side of them is a lot better. ;P

Terrorfakt - Damage
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh no. This is rhythmic noise or power noise. And it is overwhelming. If it just sounds completely stupid and noisy at first, oh well. I thought so too, but it grew on me. It makes me want to kick a baby. ;__;

Mind.in.a.Box - Change
Okay, this one is a lot less noisy and aggressive. It's actually kinda calming and relaxing, which isn't something people think I like. But this song is really emotional, and the lyrics are deep and familiar. The movie that the song is put to in that video is called Immortel (not a misspelling of "immmortal") and definitely fits the song. The problem is that I didn't realize half of the characters were animated. :C

Whitar - The Day After The End
Okay, screw calm music. Here's a song by Whitar, an industrial techno artist. OH WAIT, he teamed up with death metal artist Tyrant of Death and created the best mix of both that I have ever heard for this album.

Satariel - Claw the Clouds
If I were to pick something that is actually completely "metal" and not influenced by industrial, it would have to be Satariel. I've been waiting since the beginning of 2011 for their next album which was supposed to be released by them, but there has been no luck.

Prizon Oz - Selfmade Monster (remix by Ginger Snap5)
Andddddd to top off this extensive post, here's a rave song that isn't completely dark and scary. C:

I'm a super star racin through the sky like a tiger! Defying the laws of gravity! I'm a racing car passin by like Lady Godiva! (My favorite of their songs)
I like most music, except classic and that s*** J.B. calls music. Don't like some other modern music, seems to have all the "let's go get drunk" and similar messages. Now you can all hate me for not liking Katy Perry and all them. I will listen to SOME of their music, though.
I totally agree with you. Katy Perry and Lady Gaga and all those other pop artists seem to only portray the message 'life is for getting wasted and having sex.' It's wrong.
Most of my friends listen to that crap, and I don't think they really listen to the lyrics. The tune is okay, but the lyrics suck.
No kidding. Some of the Katy Perry songs are ok, like Firework, but Kesha is just disturbing. They make it sound like getting wasted a bar and then going home with whoever is fine, normal, and cool. It's just gross.
