Spears are cool, but I don't see what would make them different from tridents.
I'm voting maces, I've always wanted a blunt, heavy weapon in Minecraft. Could do some heavy damage, but have a slow cooldown. Perhaps some splash damage, too? Whatever the case, at least they'd look awesome.

I feel like we don't need more. What Minecraft has is enough in my opinion. If you want more weapons, then that's why mods(java)/addons(bedrock) exist.

Tbh I feel like the weapon selection is good. I wish Minecraft had more armor options.

I'd like to see some form of two handed weapon be implemented. Such as halberds, they'd have new animations and be slower to swing but they'd be stronger to compensate. Weapons that have thrust animations rather than swing animations would be awesome too, spears included in that. Although for the whole "throwing spear" thing I'd rather have regular spears and the thrown versions separate, maybe with the thrown weapon being called a "javelin" rather than being called a "spear".

Spear, only if throwable and enchantable or stackable (or both). Otherwise I'd like to see daggers or some large weapon (battleaxe, claymore, greatsword, longsword).
