Mine is probably bioshock. There are no jump scares. But the atmosphere is simply creepy. And the splicers creeped me out,

The P.T. Demo for PS4? Its not scary, its just impossible to complete >.< Worst thing about it

I am a MASSIVE wimp and can't play horror games and if I do, I can't sleep for a week. D: But the scariest game I've ever seen someone play is Five Nights At Freddy's. The reason being it's the only horror game I've watched. XD

Anyway, the scariest game I have played and yet to complete is One Late Night. I've played Slender (can't be bothered finishing) but I just don't find it to scary. Second try I already have 6/8 pages easy.

Amnesia probably. But Slender, BioShock, and Dead Space 2 have to be close in the running for me as well. All amazing games!! BioShock is by far my favorite.

One of the things that this point-and-click puzzle game incorporates that most don't, is that you have timed puzzle activities. For example: a giant monster breaks through the wall. You have to rapidly click this wheel to lower a ladder to get up, before the monster reaches you and eats you. Also, the only 2 jump scare sounds scare the heck out of you.

Metro: Last Light had some top scares.
An Ordinary Sonic ROM Hack by Cinossu. The game itself isn't bad, but oh my god, that sound it makes when you game over...
i dont play many too scary games, but i did play year walk and it was pretty scary. though i mostly watch let's plays when it comes to horror games cause i'm too much of a wimp.
also played slender, but that was really lame. :/
i mostly like horror games with a well-designed creepy atmosphere/story/setting and not just pointless jumpscares.
and holy poop that piano in super mario 64 scared the brix out of me. D:

five nights at freddies is too scary for me, and not in the enjoyable way.
my favorite horror game i think must be outlast. i didnt play it, though, just watch a let's play of it, so i guess it doesn't count. it does have a bunch of jumpscares, but they are not the major way they scare you. it's mostly the story, setting, atmosphere, characters and the whole hide-or-run-from-bad-guys thing.
