PC for shaders mod & games
Hi, I want to know if this is a good build for games like minecraft, sims4, maplestory etc without much lag. Also can you tell me if it'll work good with the shaders mod without to much lag.

Current build, includes monitor, mouse etc.
Am I missing anything? Is the graphic card and processor good enough to run shaders at a decent setting? and on normal settings will I run high FPS?
Thanks in advance!

I can run shaders maxed out on a 280x at around ~40 fps, that's with a 4570 too.
It maxes out vanilla Minecraft at well over 300 fps.

I really don't think you need that op of a build for the games you put you are going to play... You could run shaders @ 60fps for an all around $600 build...

Thanks! 40 fps isnt bad at all.

I did some research.. On full Minecraft settings with shaders, the 280x outputs around 40 FPS. In standard Minecraft, it ran about 70 - 100. That's only one guy, I'll edit this post later with more benchmarks and info.

That seems really low. My GTX 660 is less powerful than a 280X, yet my GPU can get 300+ FPS on max settings easily.
Was this person you got the framerates from using a low-end CPU?

Well, thats good news. So my build might be worth it.

Yeah, it looks pretty good. This guy is using a 280X and it looks like he's getting 60-90FPS with shaders, but it's hard to tell while he's recording, but he does have an I7 as well. Yours will probably be outputting around 70FPS, though. (Just a guess, though, you may get more or less)

Ouch. My GTX 660 (which I paid less than $200 for) typically runs shaders at 60-120 FPS.

Heh. My $500 GTX 780 runs shaders at about 40 fps.
Also OP that motherboard cant overclock, you should get a nice z97.
