i have minecraft for dummy's and it told me about saves. HOW DO I FIND SAVES WITH 1.6.2???

or just hit windows key+ r and type
%appdata%/.minecraft/saves
%appdata%/.minecraft/saves

%appdata% and hit enter or click on the Roaming folder. click on .minecraft you will find the saves folder in this list of other folders. This .minecraft folder is where you can install mods resource packs and more.

If you're on windows, go to your start button type in %appdata% click on .minecraft find the "saves" folder. Done.
