Hello to anyone that may read this,
Currently I know some of you may laugh or say that there is no solution, but please help me out.
I have a Windows Vista Laptop (Model: MT6916), and it maybe 5 or 6 years old.
I do not know how to obtain the specs, so comments about it would be helpful, and anything else, please no harmful comments.
Before Optifine, I had an FPS of 5-20, now with all settings off, and to the lowest and fastest I maintain a 30-80 un-stabilized FPS, but I have everything that says to stabilize, well stabilize. It is still laggy too! I have seen YouTube videos where people are lower than me, and have far render distance and run perfectly smooth. I cannot manage to afford a new computer at the moment, so Im wondering is there anyway to make anything faster, anything relevant is helpful, if you have in-depth questions, I will answer them!

Set render distance to short, tiny causes it to lag more because it has to keep loading all the time. Minimum FOV. Dont use fancy rendering or smooth lighting. Disable all particles. Dont use texture packs. Allocate 1 gig of ram to minecraft. Dont use enhanced worlds, they lag a lot more for some reason. A good way to find your computer specs is to use speccy.
Wow, that solved most of it, thanks for the help with the specs!
Sorry I have the same problem.
I have a good stable pc but won't cooperate.

Its okay, thank you.
Knowing your specs would help try using an 8x or 4x texture pack (your card isn't great so you wont get much fps no matter what you try)
Yeah I dont know how to find my specs :I sorry, but any way? ik that they are important :p
And has the fps always been like this or has it suddenly changed?
Before Optifine it was 5-20, going up and down randomly
And now with it, 30-80 still going up and down, does not settle on one or near it. And I have stabilize fps settings on.

Hm.. haven't thought about closing Skype out :I
And do you mean cardio drivers? Disc? What? And how would I for the one that I need?

Nothing else works for me!
Go to youtube and put on a hour long music video (Or just a video) It put's my fps from 5/7 to over 80
Hmmm... Certainly not a troll...
xD
Do you have any texture packs or music on?
No Texture packs, and no music, only the regular sounds such as mob sounds, etc.
