I know this would be best posted on bukkit but as you may know many of bukkit's staff have left.
I have a blog on there too but am not getting much help since the lack of staff on at the moment.

I have the crackshot guns bukkit plugin on my server which works perfectly.
After spending hours of trying to get the sound from the resource pack to work as reloading and firing sounds I gave up and hope to find out what I'm doing wrong.
The resource pack has the sounds.json and the custom sounds but I can't seem to get crackshot to use these sounds.
Just so you know, I am able to use /playsound to play these sounds so I know I have configured the json correctly.
I have tried things like custom.shoot, CUSTOM_SHOOT, SHOOT ect
None of these seem to work. What am I doing wrong?
