One solution: get more RAM.

Depends on your specs. Some computers are so slow that any sort of programs, video settings, or anything of the sort won't work. A decent computer should either be much improved by Optifine and changing video settings. So really if your computer is bad, don't waste the time messing with settings, just buy a new computer altogether.

You could install the different types of Optifine (depending on your computer), turn down your settings to low, go into your .minecraft and increase the amount of RAM it uses.

Add the mod Optifine.

Turn down the settings.

As a last resort (though this is only really effective for high-res texture packs) dedicate more RAM.

1. Get better graphics(video?) card
2. Get Optifine
3. get a 8x8 texture pack

Have you tried to allocate more memory to Minecraft?

There's a .bat file my friend told me about. I can't remember what the code is but if you Google ".bat file to make Minecraft lag less" you should find it

There is kinda possible way to do that. But not really via .bat files because you cant make Minecraft to less memory that it would have less to dump. At least for my brain there is not such way. Dont forget were talking about Minecraft not Server. Servers you can limit but for minecraft it self without adding a .class there no real possible way to do that

Also, you should get Razzer Game Booster. Really boosts my gameplay. Also, exit skype and other programs if you can.

Again you have a problem right there o_o if you have alot of memory and have a sad old CPU. It just wont be capable of dumping that much information with out a lag spike. So every MB of your memory is counted right there.

Basicly yeah both of them are suggesting currect.
You have to use something like Optifine.
Or if you have at least basic java knowlage just decompile clean out the code.
Clean shit you dont use not to load up your memory and CPU, Try to make your minecraft smaller

if you don't want to install anything (optifine, better graphics driver, etc.), I suggest simply putting your graphical options at the lowest settings possible. this means graphics fast, particles minimal, sound and music off, render distance normal or lower, smooth lighting off, etc. just play around a bit. usually, this will help.

Optifine doesn't really work to make my FPS higher, not that I really need it though.

The only way Optifine can help you is if you make your Render Distance something stupid like "Tiny", which in Optifine is like "UB3R SMALL TINY"

The other options don't really work, atleast for me. I only use it for the zoom.
