A 3-4GB ram space or running it in a 3-4GB device? In addition, how many worlds are you planning to run?

3-4GB servers generally hold around 40-50 players fine. However if you are running 30 system heavy plugins you will struggle 30.

that's only if you have a 100mbps upload speed, and it also depends on the CPU and the OS. So in non-geek this translates to god-like internet UPLOAD speed (if its not professional hosted you will never be able to either 1. afford the cost of it and or 2. no mater how much money you throw at your internet provider, you will never be able to get it.... so try and get the best you can... i have on a great day 8mbps upload and i can easily hold 25 players and run 65+ plugins (with about 20+ of the plugins being very intensive) with about 6GB of ram dedicated to the server) and a great core (e.g. Intel i7 processor) and the operating system (e.g. windows vista,7,8) also you better have the hard drive space for all of the data you will be storing (mostly in worlds, plugins, and player data... which if I'm correct i think its covered under the world data)
