Hello. On my computer, I have Forge 1.6.4 and 1.7.2. I want to be able to play 1.6.4 mods when I want to, and then 1.7.2 mods. I installed both Forges. I only have one mods folder in my Minecraft folder. When I try to use a 1.7.2 or 1.6.4 mod, my MC crashes. I want to be able to use 1.7.2 mods and 1.6.4 mods. Anyone know how to fix this? If it helps, I am on a Mac.

I'm not trying to run 1.6.4 mods on 1.7.2, I just needed a way to be able to use 1.6.4 mods when I wanted to play 1.6.4, and use 1.7.2 mods when I wanted to use those. I only have one mods folder, and I couldn't figure out away to switch between the two.
Easiest thing to do is use a launcher.
Get ATLauncher, and make two vanilla instances, one for 1.6 one for 1.7. Then you can put your mods into each of the relevant locations, and switch between them at the click of a button.

you cannot run 1.6.4 mods on 1.7.2
you cannot have 1.6.4 mods and 1.7.2 mods together
if you have 1.6.4 mods and 1.7.2 mods in the mods folder both of the forges will try and load all the mods including version incompatible with them
you will have to take out the mods and replace them each time you change versions
