Minecraft is hacking my internet
Hey guys, TheMightyWaffle here with a bit of a problem. you see, whenever I play minecraft, I turn off the internet so it will start in offline mode, so I can preserve my internet data. but whenever I start up 1.7.2 forge, it will beep 4 times then connect to the internet without using the password. Its getting really annoying and I need help. anyone know what the heck is going on?

I don't even see the issue here? Anyway, if you aren't connected to a network interface then it's simply not possible to go on the net...
You've probably given Java permission to communicate on all networks, so Java is reopening the connection. Try taking away this permission in the Java control panel.
well that's strange.
I can tell you what it's not. Minecraft or Forge. All Java related things run in a VM meaning it can't leave it's little chunk of the computer and go mess with something else. So no Minecraft is not hacking your internet... Your computer is probably auto connecting. It is something most computers do.
Stop using forge and mods, would it still connect to internet?
I'm assuming it doesn't. Since he said it connects when he loads up Minecraft.
Aren't those a bit overkill? As far as I'm concerned, we should probably find the root of this problem. I don't see how a virus is out of the possibility here; maybe your client is modded in a kinda hacky way?
Title is not a joke, although worded weirdly, but I do indeed see that OP's situation here is that Minecraft is essentially overriding his network connections, something Minecraft should not be able to do. Something is wrong here. Do some virus scans, try a fresh build of Minecraft and see if it does that.
*EDIT* Also if you disable the network driver and it somehow reenables, clearly someone is trolling you (neighbour who has good hacking and observation skills?).

Almost all laptops have a disable wifi shortcut key, so do that.
I've tried, but even that wont work.
Like i said disable the network driver in the control panel.
Have you scanned your computer for a virus? It is very unlikely that Minecraft is causing the problem here.
That is not causing the problem.
Disable ur network driver.
What kind of OS do you have? Windows 8?
windows 7.
I believe forge attempts to connect to the internet to check for updates and whatnot.
Though Minecraft isn't "hacking" your internet, nice title

yeah, bu my mom is getting very pissed off at the fact that i does turn on, and its actually really bad. it is trying to check for updates and connect to the wi-fi, but it wont turn off.
That title, -snip-. You are a comedy master
Go into network and sharing options, click manage wireless networks and delete the network
Put your computer in Airplane mode when you play.
EDIT: Assuming your computer has it.

yeah, but the thing is, if my computer was remembering my password, it would show up whenever i try to find it. it has not remembered my password so its gotta be something else. i was hoping i would not have to leave it unplugged, but i guess i may have to.
Yea, there must be some auto connect enabled.
I would suggest unplugging or turning off you're internet because it seems you're computer is remembering your password. I think this has nothing to do with minecraft or forge. (Could be wrong)
I would suggest this. ^^
